The interior design project focused on renovating the offices of an international high-tech client in Malta. The scope covered various areas including the reception, workplace, meeting rooms, focus rooms, and a small training center.
We aimed to blend the client’s global standards with the local Maltese touch, drawing inspiration from the island’s architecture. The design incorporated elements such as the color of Maltese limestone buildings for the open ceiling and installations, arches reminiscent of Valletta’s old buildings, and a kitchen partition inspired by Valletta’s balcony designs. We used fragments of Maltese doors as decor, stylized patterns from Maltese pottery for wallpapers and privacy foils, and handcrafted tiles found in Valletta’s staircases for the kitchen wall. Green accents were introduced to mimic the contrast of green balconies against Valletta’s walls.
The project successfully merged international standards with local influences, resulting in a functional yet culturally resonant workspace.
